Wonderful new jazz club in midtown. The finger food was wonderful and paired well with the drinks. The seating is very close to stage. Perfect candlelight date night. The ticket and food together is $90 for each person at a minimum.

It may be Community Theater but it's still first rate theater. We've been going here for years and have never been disappointed in the performances of the actors. Sometimes we don't love the show that's chosen but the performances are always first rate. Last night we saw Th Man of LA Mancha. It's always been one of my favorite shows and last night did not disappoint. There isn't the bad seat in the house after all it's not a large theater.

Went last night and what a great experience. The room only holds about 30 people so the experience is really unique and the comics were all really funny. I highly recommend checking this place out before it becomes impossible to get a ticket

Pretty good venue, spilloff areas make it feel very spacious although the strip of mainstage space is a bit weird and claustrophobic just because of its long/narrow shape. The best thing they could do is get rid of the weird gross astroturfing and install a rake slope so the audience can actually see over each other. And get a live screen going for the back half of the venue. Sound was good though, pleasantly surprised there!

SOOP has been an amazing experience for my 14 year old son. The training in musical theater and the voice lessons he has taken through SOOP have been amazing. The quality of the Main Stage productions is unbelievable and it is hard to believe these are kids doing the productions. I would highly recommend SOOP for your emerging performer. It is truly a hidden gem in Westchester.

Cool theatre that has a unique story behind it . The church of the blessed sacrament had 10,000 parishioners back in the 1800s and they had to have several masses going at once . This was where one of the masses was held . My only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that it needs to be clearly marked that there is an accessible entrance for wheelchairs , walkers and canes . Sadly I saw a couple people struggling with canes on it would have been nice if they had been made aware . Once that's remedied it's a great place to see an intimate performance of a play . Nice big room behind the stage area to congregate with performers after the show .

Attended a show in October and was impressed by the line-up! The female comedians had me giggling especially the model, it's a must-see for anyone in queens. I came with two friends and the waitstaff took a long time with our table's food and drinks but aside from the venue's pricier options, this comedy show is def a fun weekday activity!

Cool space but I wish they had better seats. View was great but I did feel like seats were tight and they were not pleasant to sit in for 90 minutes. I bought tickets for an 8:30 show, arrived around 8pm (website says to arrive 30 mins before to get good seats when doors open), and the line did not move until about 9:00. There was a show before us, so I understand that there may be delays with clearing the space out, but there was no communication from the venue while we were all standing outside in the heat for a show that was supposed to have doors open at 8. I was seated by 9:10 through an efficient but confusing process (a man just points at a seat and gets mad at you if you don't understand him immediately). Prices are solid , though I would have appreciated some better food options than just candy as someone who does not drink. The $20 minimum is not an issue, as it is a standard for comedy clubs, but I wish there was more NA options than just soda and water. The communication could have been better, and it was not addressed or mentioned at all at the start. A simple "sorry for the delay folks" would have been professional and appreciated. The waitress was kind and helpful. I'd still come here again, though I hope to see some changes made on the comfort and organization end of things.

New York City Center is such a fantastic place to see a show. The theater feels beautifully classic but also very comfortable, and the size of Stage I makes it surprisingly intimate. Any seat in Stage I is great and you feel like the performers are right with you, which made the whole performance feel more immersive and very special. We saw Bigfoot! A New Musical on Stage I and absolutely loved it. The music, writing, and performances were all fantastic. The show is funny, creative, and full of energy, and you can tell how much talent went into bringing it to life. The writing by Amber Ruffin, David A. Schmoll, and Kevin Sciretta is sharp, clever, and genuinely heartfelt. Grey Henson as Bigfoot gave such a beautiful performance full of character and heart. I never thought I could love a character like Bigfoot so much, but he completely won over the audience immediately after first stepping on stage. Alex Moffat was also excellent and brought so much personality and humor to his role, and the rest of the cast was outstanding as well, including Jade Jones, Crystal Lucas-Perry, Katerina McCrimmon, and Jason Tam, who all delivered fantastic performances. One of the best surprises of the night was the cast Q&A after the show, which was incredibly fun and gave the audience a chance to hear more about the creative process and the experience of bringing the musical to life. It made the evening feel even more personal and memorable. We have been telling everyone we know about this show and really hope it continues to run and find the success it deserves. Seeing it at New York City Center made the whole experience even better. It is a wonderful venue for discovering exciting new theater.

My two daughters and I came here for the NY Giants Town Hall event. Viewing: we had seats in the mezzanine and the stage was visible although with the heads of the people sitting in front of us made it hard to see at times. Staff: we had very positive experiences with all the staff. Those who helped us w seating, staff at the bathroom, snack bar staff, etc, We had great experiences with all of them. Seats: the seating was a bit tight, I was not able to cross my legs comfortably. This was the main reason I gave this theater a 4/5 stars rather than a 5/5. Aesthetics: it is an absolute beautiful theater and one of my favorites in terms of is beauty in all of NYC!

I went to the Neil Simon Theatre because it's literally on the same street where my husband works, so I decided to try the weekday lottery for the first time... and ended up winning tickets to MJ The Musical. It wasn't even at the top of my must-see list, but it completely surprised me. The storytelling, choreography, and transitions are incredibly well executed. The way they weave the script with the chronology of the songs feels seamless, constantly moving between past and present with a smoothness that's hard to describe but really impressive to experience live. Nothing feels forced or slow, it flows effortlessly from start to finish. At times, it genuinely feels like you're at a Michael Jackson concert. What stood out the most is how universal and accessible the show is. It's very family friendly without feeling childish. You can bring your parents, even if they don't speak English, and they'll still enjoy it. I saw entire families vibing together, almost dancing in sync to the music. That ability to cut across generations feels special and rare on Broadway. The pacing is perfect, it never drags, and it lasts exactly as long as it needs to. I also got great lottery seats, which made the experience even better. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations by a lot and turned into one of those shows I didn't plan to love, but walked out of genuinely impressed.

Absolutely amazing! This was the best show experience I've ever had. The musical numbers were incredible, the cast was outstanding, and the entire production was breathtaking from start to finish. The theater itself is beautiful and adds so much to the experience. We sat in Row E, and the seats were perfect. We were close enough to see every detail and even make eye contact with some of the performers, which was so exciting. The view was excellent without having to look up uncomfortably. One thing to keep in mind is that the seating layout isn't very steep, so a taller person sitting in front of you could potentially block part of your view. Because of that, I think it's worth spending a little extra for seats closer to the stage. Overall this show was absolutely worth every penny and truly unforgettable.

Tonight enjoyed terrific jazz interpretations by Anderson twins of the American songbook with swing era textures, color contrast with their different and complementary instruments, uniquely good twin phrasing because they are! Went for the great sound of the room, specifically this music, sax clarinets flute + great backing band including drummer pianist and bass who had their own great solos. Easy to be alone, requested fringe solo elevated table matching backed chair, highest tier at the back wall near kitchen so decent ventilation, traffic so no stagnant air. Terrific integrated sound at such seating. Enjoyed the fruit and cheese plate, which was fine to meet the minimum. Kept my mask on as much as possible because 850,000 new cases today of COVID in the USA, still killing, with >80% over 65 y/o and I anticipate returning.

Death Becomes Her is a spectacular show that was so entertaining. I didn't think I would laugh as much as I did, but the cast did an amazing job of keeping the audience engaged the entire time. They were hilarious and had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands, from start to finish. I had high expectations coming in and boy did they deliver. Considering my fondness for the original movie, which featured Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, and Bruce Willis, I appreciate that they retained all the popular moments from the movie and somehow made them even better. The endless banter, creative songs, and beautiful stage designs were well done, and the costumes, transitions between scenes, and choreography were executed perfectly. The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre is spacious and very clean. I didn't find the seats to be uncomfortable or tight, and sitting in the Front MEZZ Row B provided us with an unobstructed view of the stage, definitely worth the extra money. So happy I was able to see this show before it leaves Broadway. Totally worth the trip into the city!

I had the pleasure to visit this place recently & I was happy I came . Get to see 'Amaze' by Jamie Allan . What a brilliant man with extraordinary vision. I totally forgot how old I am and became a child again . I also loved how he missing his parents throughout the show. Wish they were here to see his son's growth. I also get to meet this amazing human being after the show and had to take pictures with him! I can't wait to come back, gotta save up first lol .

Overall the theater is lovely, well taken care of, air conditioned, and the cast is absolutely fantastic! But they drastically need to improve crowd management. For our 2pm show doors open at 1pm so it's best to be in line early around 12:45 because a long line forms. After a quick security check and then a ticket check you're let into the lobby where there are photo opportunities, merch opportunities, and concessions. At this point they should begin to seat people, but instead the house doors open 30 minutes prior to show start.. so all 400+ people suddenly only have 30 minutes for staff to guide them to their actual seats... and while they wait space in the lobby quickly evaporated.. The end result is madness and then you add the fact that there are kids and it's even more wild. Announcements are also made by staff without any microphones so you can't hear them. It's just weird, but past all that the show itself it good with a brief 10 minutes intermission. The special effects are also very very good. Overall Harry Potter is all an average play with some plot holes, but they aren't seriously enough to stop you from enjoying. Just realize getting seated is wild, confessions are very expensive, and then the first 20 minutes of the play itself are confusing as they rush to explain the characters.

It's a wonderful venue that enhances the magic of the show. And the website's stage view from seating selection is on point, it really allows for which selection to order. Overall, an exceptional night on Broadway--highly recommended.

love love love the walter kerr! hadestown is phenomenal obviously but the theatre is also great. bathrooms are clean but if you're planning on going during intermission (and you're a woman) you need to sprint as soon as act 1 ends because a long line forms super quickly. i think optimal seating is mezzanine because we were on balcony and we had to strain to see downstage. if you're interested in stage dooring (highly recommend! but don't expect every actor to come out, it's not an obligation for them) sprint after bows outside the theatre and there should be a crowded barricade.

I was invited to celebrate the legacy of Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. This was such an epic event. I enjoyed all the speakers, the food, the company, the customer service, the staff and the entertainment and energy in the room. Dr. King was a trailblazer for the community and he deserved to be celebrated and they did just that. Gerald Schoenfeld Theater 236 W 45th st, NY NY 10036 Buena Vista Social Club - May 14th, 2026 featuring John Leguizamo This turned into a full dance-along experience at the beautiful Schoenfeld theater! -- The dance along was a great idea! Great energy, great music, great cast and AAA effort all around. My wife & I absolutely loved our balcony seats and truly appreciated the atmosphere, culture, rhythm and passion behind this production. Thank you for a fun night of storytelling mixed with music, dance & Cuban culture. Now, here comes my honest personal takeaway... As a native New Yorker with a fair amount of Latin blood, vibe & persuasion, I personally felt the show lacked a bit of the emotional depth, punch and grand finale payoff that could potentially give it broader long-term appeal. The audience applause throughout the night was strong, and the dance-along aspect really brought the room alive. Personally, I almost feel every show should lean into that audience participation because those moments created some of the biggest energy of the evening. While the music, culture and atmosphere were beautiful, I personally never found a central character or storyline strong enough to fully pull me in emotionally or give me someone to deeply root for along the journey. I also wonder whether younger generations will connect strongly enough with the material over time, but I genuinely hope this passionate production finds lasting success because there is obvious heart, pride and effort behind it. 5 stars all around for the Brooklyn Paramount! This was my first time going and I had an amazing experience. The theater itself is absolutely beautiful and the staff were exceptional from start to finish. In between sets, they made sure everyone stayed hydrated by passing out water until every single person who wanted one had a drink. They were also very attentive when it came to safety, which made the whole experience even better. Just an all-around great group of people and an incredible venue. I'll definitely be back!

Kudos to the curators and financiers for bringing The Anatomy of the Orchestra: The Four Sections experience to the United States. While I was saddened that the orchestra was in town from London for only a fleeting moment, I was greatful for this mind blowing new experience. I had no idea what to expect. I followed my curiosity. Turned out to be a model for democratizing music. The interactive event demistified and made classical music and professional instruments fascinating. Every nuance was just right. Pictures or videos will not replace being among the performers, freely talking with them, up close to their instruments. I never knew there was sign language for music. Wow! My wishes: 1. You and other institutions bring this orchestra back. Many times! 2. Education takes a page from this playbook and exposes children (ok, adults too) to the arts in such an interactive experiential manner. 3. Buildings do accessibility, cleanliness, and welcomeness as well as David Geffen Hall.

I have been visiting the Delacorte theatre almost ever summer to see their Shakespeare in the Park performances. I finally got to see the renovated space a couple days ago for Romeo and Juliet. Such a gorgeous stage and talented actors too! Would definitely recommend all to come and visit this gem!

Just in time @ Circle in the Square Theater! What a great show! Jeremy Jordan as Bobby Darin was absolutely phenomenal- as was the entire ensemble! The singing & story line was so magically, educationally & informationally put together. My wife & I had the pleasure & delight of sitting front row & what an immersive experience it was! The theater is quite old but beautiful. The set was a work of art- everything was so believable & classy. I felt like I was teleported to 60's! Directions to The Circle in The Square can get a bit sketchy. Here's some help... It's directly across the street from The Palm Restaurant on West 50th street. It's actually housed in the same building as the Gershwin Theater. Back to just in time... You'd better get your tickets to just in time before you're outta time! I absolutely recommend!

The Joyce Theater has long been a staple in my cultural calendar, primarily due to two specific companies that redefine physical creativity: Momix and Pilobolus. Watching their performances here is a yearly ritual I cherish. The theater's intimate size is perfect for their work, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the intricate lighting, the athleticism of the dancers, and the sheer ingenuity of their choreography. When these troupes are on stage, the Joyce feels like the epicenter of the dance world. However, as much as I adore this venue, I find myself hesitant to book tickets for other productions. There is a stark contrast in quality between these headlining acts and the rest of the seasonal programming. While Momix and Pilobolus offer world-class polish and innovation, many other performances I have attended here felt lackluster in comparison, lacking the same depth of artistic direction or execution. I truly hope the curation team can bring the overall lineup up to the stellar standard set by its resident favorites. Until then, I will remain a loyal, albeit selective, annual visitor.

The address that's printed on the ticket was all the way over by Dyer Avenue (between 9th & 10th), but the actually entrance (UNDER THE HUGE AWNING) is a few doors down (although somehow the exact same address) much closer to 10th avenue. But the confusion doesn't end there. You have to go through a lobby and through another lobby and through a bunch of different hallways, because this place is a huge facility with a few different venues and various educational facilities, etc., and nobody offered help navigating the whole thing, which is very weird, because most theaters are actively engaging making sure everyone gets in and out very quickly. But the theater itself (THE RECEPTIONIST) had nice comfortable seats with excellent sound and lighting.

I enjoyed seeing Ragtime at this theatre. I would describe this as a medium sized theatre. The seats are stadium style and I sat in the last row of the first level. I could see fine and the sound was just right. Shout out to the usher who offered me a booster cushion. It really made the difference as a tall, to sit comfortably without my knees being tortured by the seat in front of me.

New York has so many places for live music, but as someone who really appreciates good jazz, Ornithology stands out to me. They have two different spaces, one is more of a restaurant with a classic, seated vibe and the other is a bar with more energy. Personally, I prefer the bar and always want to sit there as soon as possible. Also, for students, they offer a great 50% discount, so the entry is about $10, which is really nice. My first visit was honestly amazing, just phenomenal. The music, the atmosphere, everything felt alive and special. They don't always have the same energy like this Saturday, I was a bit disappointed. It's just not the same when you expect that energy and live jazz and it doesn't quite happen. I would still come back, just hoping for a more consistent flow next time

A decent theater space, like a less fancy Roundabout. My grumble is that for the seats on the first tier & second tier, the outside ushers don't send people toward the correct doors, so they will send seat 120 (far right) toward the left door where everyone (101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106...) will have to stand up for them when they could have just entered from the left door and easily accessed their seat! So last night I got there early, and had to stand up about a dozen times for the latecomers being sent through the wrong doors, which was fine for me (although continually interrupting my reading) but very bothersome for the elderly coupled nearby. And since all the rows upstairs are similarly (LONG) structured with no center aisles, the whole area can be the exact opposite of easily accessible.

This was my first time here. It is a great date night or going out with friends night. I mistakenly thought my tickets were for a Saturday night and they were for a friday night showing. Drove an hour in the rain. I was so upset with myself. Thankfully they had 2 seats the manager was willing to give us despite the no refund policy. I truly appreciated what she did. My husband and I did not sit together but we were not far from one another. There isn't a bad seat in the place. The food and drinks are very reasonable as well.

One of the best Off-Broadway theaters. It's far from the touristy hustle and bustle. I've been here many times: great performances, outstanding directors and actors. The stage space is easily transformable, which makes it suitable for a wide range of theatrical productions. Special mention goes to the amazing location and the distinctive, unforgettable New York atmosphere.
